Belgica information (en): Channel between Anvers Island on the south-west and Brabant Island on the nort-east, connecting Dallmann Bay and de Gerlache Strait, in the Palmer Archipelago. Discovered in 1898 by the Belgian Antarctic Expedition under Adrien de Gerlache, who named it for Franz Schollaert (1851-1917), Minister of the Interior at the time of departure of the Belgian Antarctic Expedition. |

Belgica information (fr): Chenal séparant l’île Anvers au S-O et l’île Brabant au nord-est, reliant la baie Dallmann au détroit de Gerlache, dans l’archipel Palmer. Découvert en 1898 par l’expédition belge sous le commandement d’Adrien de Gerlache, qui le baptisa en l’honneur de Franz Schollaert (1851-1917) ministre de l’Intérieur à la date du départ de l’expédition. |

Belgica information (nl): Kanaal in de Palmer Archipel tussen Antwerpen Eiland in het zuidwesten en Brabant Eiland in het noordoosten. Het verbindt de Dallmann Baai met de Gerlache Straat. De Belgische Antarctica expeditie ontdekte het kanaal in 1898 en Adrien de Gerlache noemde het naar Franz Schollaert (1851- 1917), die minister van Binnenlandse Zaken was toen de expeditie vertrok.. |
