History: Named after the Tagbanua, one of the indigenous groups in the Philippines province of Palawan. The Tagbanuas are believed to be the descendantsof the Tabon Man, the oldest confirmed modern human (homo sapiens) to have been found in the Philippines. The Tagbanuas are found mainly in the Northern and Central parts of Palawan, living in their ancestral domains, preserving their unique language, system of writing, religion, culture and traditions. |
